Wine and Barge Art on the peaceful waterside...

Hosted by: Bristol Art Workshops

Take a trip out of the city & get creative...

A fun taster session dipping into the colourful world of Barge Art; traditional narrowboat painting, on the front deck of a river boat in Portishead marina.

It will be hosted by a practising artist who works in painting, sculpture and print with an interest in folk art and boating culture.

You will be adorning small household items, like mugs, tea light holders, wooden spoons, etc, based on simple decorative canal ware motifs, making your own memorable creations to take home and brighten up your home or give as personal gifts.

The front deck is a peaceful waterside setting where Barbara will provide materials and utensils with the painted backgrounds already prepared for you; there will be designs available as a guide and also a hand out on the history of Barge Art.

Barbara will be available for help, and there is a glass of wine with nibbles to ease the creative process so the scene is set for a lovely session with mementoes to take home with you!
